The place was empty when I arrived, but I did go mid-day so no biggy. Service was friendly and nice. I ordered the fish of the day plate. The fish itself was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The mango salsa that accompanied it was pretty good, not a grand slam. The rice and veggies included were ok. The place seems to offer many healthy options and fresh seafood so all in all a winner in my book. I'd be willing to eat here again next time I'm passing through the area.

So fresh! I had fresh caught grilled salmon tacos and my mouth couldnt be happier! At first glance this might not be a place you'd stop in. Its quiet and on a main strip but after reading others' reviews we gave it a try. So happy with that! And added bonus, it is super clean!

I had crossed Mangroves path a couple times at RAM ( yelp.com/biz/riverside-a… ) and while they're offerings sounded delicious, I never stopped to try them. FINALLY made it in last night for dinner and I'll have to remember this place is here more often when I need to get out of the house. They've changed their service style recently to a counter service. You order at the counter, but they'll bring it to your table. With a small number of tables inside and a couple dotting the walkway outside, it's not hard for them to find you. I decided on the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich (with fries) and a sweet tea. If you want the full plate, you can 'upgrade' to beans, rice & roasted veggies for $3 more. The pork was plentiful and the sauce added a nice sweet (with a touch of) heat to the meat. The fries were golden & crispy. And forgo the ketchup - use the Dr. Bill's Savory Sauce on the table. I don't know where they got it, but it's delicious. It is definitely a no frills type place, but that's fine by me. PV can use a good dose of no frills places.

I've been here multiple times and everything that I've eaten has been phenomenal! Extremely fresh seafood that tastes delicious. Outstanding shredded pork quesadillas! The only knock on this place, and it's been said in other reviews, is the fact that you'll be placing your order at the counter versus table service. The bigger problem is that the person taking your order is normally with someone that's always new and doesn't understand how to work the computer/cash register yet.....There seems to be a different person working the counter every time I'm come here....This is a minor annoyance though since the food is what you're coming here for....

Mahi mahi and pulled pork tacos are the business! Why you ask? To answer this, let me backtrack just a little. The iPhone Nav is rather tricky, sometimes it takes one places that we did not intend to go. This happened to us and we had were tired and hungry after half a day's worth of meetings. and so Yelp to the rescue!! I do not know why I picked Mangrove's, perhaps because I was near the beach and mangrove's remind me of Fiji, the ocean, fresh fish....yes! I wanted some fresh fishy! The place feel like a tiny cafe. The decor needs works and the empty refrigerators need to be filled with goods for sale or something. The gentlemen that took our order after he seated us was kind, efficient and speedy in taking our order and getting the food to us. The mahi mahi was perfectly cooked and delicious. It was fresh and not messed with, and if that is what you like, then this dish is for you. The pulled pork tacos were filled to the brim and seasoned perfectly. I see some promise and though I will not go out of my way to seek this place out again...I have recommended it to a few locals for lunch already. So keep up the effort Mangrove's , you are showing much promise.

I have been here a few times now and thought I reviewed it but no. So the place is nice small kind of a homey feel to it. They have a big mangrove tree mural on the wall. I found it looking for the butcher shoppe one day and figured what the heck. On that trip I had a quesadilla and this time I ordered the Cuban. both with black beans n rice. The beans and rice are the bomb diggy. The quesadilla was good but the Cuban was pretty cheesy. Not much meat but everything else that make a Cuban a Cuban. The lady told me I should order the fish, Cobia today and I guess I should have listened. So next time I will listen cause most of the time I ask the server what is the best. Some are even right.

Mangroves is a small hidden no frills joint. The people are very nice and the food was very fresh. I'm not kidding though...no frills. Your drink options are bottled ones from their cooler or their sweet tea, which was good. I had the crab cake sandwich and it was huge. My brother got the blackened Mahi special and said it was great also. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a quick, fresh, uncrowded atmosphere for lunch.

Food is really great. The black bean burger is good and the pork plate is delicious. Lost a star because of the fact that you have to order at a counter, there isn't a good drink selection, and the restaurant could use some pointers in ambiance.

This place has their priorities straight: quality of food and price. I had a great salad with black beans and seeds and nuts and tomatoes and avocado for $8. The seating area is pleasant but not anything special. The owner is very friendly and easy to talk to.

Yes, this place is great. You don't go there for the atmosphere (the place is very clean though) but the food is fresh and healthy; a nice change from most of the local eateries who fry just about everything. Service is kind and attentive. Going there tonight for the second time this week!

This is the best family healthy restaurant in PVB! Why it's not busting at the seems is amazing. We have had everything on the menu and our 5 year old ordered the pulled pork and loved every bite. He even took the leftovers to school! some one else said "Inexpensive and phenomenal food" We couldn't agree more!! Give it a try!

Mangroves is a wonderful, cafe that serves a variety of fresh & healthy foods. Mangroves is located in Ponte Vedra at the corner of A1A and CR 210/Palm Valley. DO NOT MISS IT! Whether you get the fish tacos (my favorite), black beans (also my favorite), hamburger (my husband's favorite), cuban sandwich (my older son's favorite), chicken and cheese quesadilla (my younger son's favorite), any of the soups, the roasted vegetable wrap or the super salad... you'll be more than pleased! Greg, the owner is wonderful and his staff is there to please! You'll be glad you stopped by!!

Had a brilliant Mahi with tropical salsa black beans and rice the other night. Chef was on point with the blackened fish. Moist flavorful and a noise portion. Beans and rice were superb. Nice staff. A little kitschy atmosphere. A few women's touches would make this front end truly special. Get the coolers out go the front end. Put tablecloths over those my first apartment tables and chairs. Otherwise we eat with our eyes and the foot is a real keeper. Can't wait to return next week........

This place is delicious! I had a delicious crab cake special with spinach accompanied by an amazing sauce...everything tastes very fresh and you can tell it is made from scratch! I cannot wait to go back and I would definetely recommend this place for anyone looking for a fantastic and fairly inexpensive meal.

Yummy! Some of the best fish tacos i have ever eaten, The super salad and the steak sandwich were enjoyed by the others in our party and they raved about them. The kids mac and cheese was homemade and really good. My 17 month old grandson ate almost all of the big bowl. Organic, wholesome, quiet, friendly inexpensive and absolutely good food. We will be return customers over and over.
